Jesus and Battleship

Could you imagine what it wouldve been like to have been a childhood friend of Jesus playing battleship?
You'd always lose. "A-4" "hit" "G-9" "hit. Now you could try and cheat and say miss; and if it was early in the game maybe you could move your destroyer but He would know and either say, "Youre cheating" or just call out the new location.

I was also thinking...

you know, there's just something not right about eating gummy bears while watching 300.

just a few deep thoughts. i'll get back to the deeper stuff next week.

I wonder if Jesus ever ate anything that made him sick on his stomach. And if he did, did he heal Himself. Was he handsome, regular, cute, shy, introvert, extrovert? Did he ever have a g/f? Whattya think Bsquared?

Jesus learned obedience by the things that he suffered. He was born under the law and subject to his parents like every one else. There is a reason that Jesus started his public ministry at age 30. The law required priests to begin at age 30 and Jesus is our High Priest, but also at age 30, Jesus was a mature man. He had to go through a life of training too. Upon thinking about his divinity, it is easy for me to do away with his humanity, but that would not be right. One post asked the question, "could Jesus walk on water at age 4?" Well, let me ask this, did Jesus even know basic Math at age 4? I don't think so, because he would have to learn, like any other child. Jesus had to grow in knowledge and understanding of his real identity. For 30 years, Jesus learned how to do only what he saw the Father doing, and I believe this is the reason that there is no mention of any childhood mircles. I don't believe Jesus was a young Clark Kent out running trains, lifting up cars, using x-ray vision etc.

anonymous, just curious but on what scriptures do you base your thoughts...or is it just your opinion or preferred idea of what Jesus was like. not asking this harshly, just curious if you had any bible to back it up. In Luke 2 for example, when the party runs out of wine, Mary asks Jesus to do something about it...to me implying that He'd done something like this before. Although we know Jesus began His public ministry at 30, this does not mean, to me, that He'd never used His divine powers before.

I think it's always important to be aware of our motives in life and not be quick to judge others actions. We should always ask the Holy Spirit to show us a person's heart and check our own at the same time.
